A group of 18 young women who attend Willowbank Youth Club, and 8 Young People from Ballybeen have just completed a Diversity, Identity and Good Relations Cross Community Programme, in partnership with The Falls Women’s Centre and Ballybeen Women’s Centre. Saturday 2nd April to Sunday 3rd April will be the last time that both groups will meet for an over-night residential at East Coast Adventure Centre.
All the young women completed five workshops looking at sectarianism, the past, ethnicity and human rights. They all designed their own stories about their childhood and life as they see it, and completed a creative arts session displaying their stories. All the young people’s art stories where displayed in The Crescent Arts Theatre from 7th March – 14th March 2011.
